49ners are going to the SUPER BOWL!!
before football season started we discovered a niners bar in huntington beach. a niners bar... in socal?? so random! it's really weird seeing so much red and gold but it's actually a nice feeling. makes me feel like i'm closer to home even though i'm really 400 miles away. so we went to the niners bar on sunday and it was AWESOME! after they won, everyone was jumping up and down, cheering, giving random strangers high fives. can't wait for the super bowl!
what made this day even better was my baby chloe turned 3!

Put A Egg On It
Breakfast has to be my favorite meal of the day. I love a good eggs benedict. I'll pretty much eat any dish that has a poached egg and hollandaise sauce. I can even eat the two alone. I never have time to make breakfast on the weekdays so when the weekend comes, I pretty much look forward to eating a runny egg over whatever else I have. Last weekend I tried out this tofu and veggie scramble recipe. It seemed healthy enough with all the veggies in it. I added ham just for a little extra something.

JUST DO IT
I think it's safe to assume that I suck at updating and keeping this blog going. Every few months is better than nothing right? So, happy new year! I know resolutions are usually broken (can't remember what last year's was... obviously failed) but this year I'm DETERMINED to keep up with two.
1. Set a weekly/monthly spending budget.
2. Take a class or teach myself how to use illustrator better
How are these resolutions doing? Pretty well I'd have to say. I've been using evernote on my phone, which btw is an awesome app, to keep track of my weekly spending and I'm actually doing well. Let's see how long this last. Resolution #2 is actually going better than I expected. I didn't feel like paying $46 a unit plus whatever the fees are to take an illustrator class so I've been teaching myself and it's so much fun! Besides that, I hope 2013 will be a good year with some personal changes. Hence this post title.
Some pictures from the irvine flea market. Windy cold day probably wasn't the best day to go. Either people packed up early or hardly anyone set up.

It's Been Too Long
I've been neglecting this blog for way too long. My last post was on Aug. 16 and a lot has happened since then. Two MAJOR things actually. I turned 25 (why so old?!) and purchased a townhouse with the help of my parents. Yea, I wasn't lying when I said major huh?
I don't think I've ever been more down about turning a year older till this birthday. Just the thought of getting older makes me want to plop down face first on my pillow and kick and scream with sadness. (Imagine when I turn 30) My friends and the BF planned a pretty fun and cute birthday, which was sweet of them. It made turning 25 a little less dreadful.
So I've been pretty busy with adjusting and trying to furnish the place and let me tell you, furniture shopping is not easy or fun. Especially when you have a budget. The fun part will be adding decor to give the place some character. It's a pretty frustrating process so lately most of my free time is spent on furniture sites and pinterest. Must get the place ready for THE HOLIDAYS!
Here's a little update. Mainly from my instagram, which I update more than this blog.

Bike Riding
For as long as I've lived in the OC, I've never gone bike riding at the beach. The last time my friends went was over a year ago and I was out of town so I missed the fun. Ever since then I've been trying to plan a day to go and a few weekends ago, I FINALLY WENT. Yea, took over a year just to plan it. Funny thing is, it didn't even take much planning so I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I felt like biking, asked the bf if he wanted to go, he said ok, asked others, planned what time to meet up and we went! Huntington Beach during the summer can get pretty crowded. We grabbed a bite and some drinks on Main St. and biked to Newport. Relaxed on the beach after and tried out North Shore Poke across the beach for dinner. Spending sunday funday outdoors is the best!

Doing it Over
During the summer in LA, there's a day time event every Sunday called Do Over. It's like a party during the day where you can order pitchers of sangria and just enjoy the music. It can get pretty hot in LA during the afternoon so I wore a loose top and bottom. I love anything with an all over print so I was pretty happy to stumble upon these shorts. Now I want more. You can never have too many of one piece right? Right.

New York Day 4
New York was over a month ago and looking at these pictures make me miss my girlfriends. The Chelsea Market is a must visit. It started off as just a market but they've now added small restaurants and stores. Next to it is the high line, which I thought was alright. If you have time, sure why not, take a look. But it's something you can skip. We went back to the MET after to go into the museum and I personally like museums so I enjoyed it. I'm glad I packed plenty of summer dresses and light weight tops because I was definitely breaking a sweat from the heat.
